At first I have ‘English Vinglish’ in my list This is a comedy drama which shot in New York.
Sridevi as the lead played the role of a house-wife who is not efficient in English. The character is inspired by this film’s director Gauri Shinde’s mother.
This film is such a great and inspiring film. Therefore, it got a five minute standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival 2012. Moreover, Sridevi applauded as the ‘Meryl Streep of India’ and the ‘Female Rajinikanth in India’ for this film.
