The story of this film revolves around Kabir Thapar aka Bunny. Bunny is passionate about experiencing and travelling the world. Bunny is a young cinematographer, straight out of college, with a chocolate boy charm. He have a carefree attitude with a dream he is so passionate about. On a trip to Manali with his best friends Avinash and Aditi bunny found Naina who is his classmate from school. Unlike Bunny, Naina is an introverted, studious, class topper under a lot of pressure for her medical career.
Bunny feels comfortable opening up with Naina, and he helps Naina value and love herself after the trip bunny leaves for his masters and continues to live the life of his dreams on his terms.
Later, for Aditi’s destination wedding in Udaipur bunny came back after 8 years. That’s when Aditi-avi-bunny and Naina reunited.
YJHD is one of those films which made everyone fall in love with the idea of traveling. The main protagonist of this film is a traveling cinematographer, this film has a lot of travel and great shooting locations.

The meeting location of the boy and girl is extremely important in any love story. Just like in one of the scenes in DDLJ, Bunny, and Naina met at the Mumbai railway station where Bunny helped Naina to get on the train. This scene was shot a real location.
The trip starts from Manali
The first filming location of YJHD is Manali. The trekking group, along with bunny-Naina and their other friends reached Manali for their exciting adventurous journey.
The first sequence of the film was shot near Hadimba temple, which is one of the famous temples in Manali.
Jalori, Hamta, Gulaba, and Khoti are some other filming locations in the Manali area.

1. A trek to temple
This sequence shot in the Kongdori area of Kashmir. When the group was told about the Bhuta Parbat, bunny and Naina decided to hike up to reach the people.
2. Hampta pass trek
While shooting for a film sequence at Hadimba temple, they also shot a trekking sequence at Hampta Pass which is a place that offers a great view of the Indian Himalayas, this is located at an altitude of 14,100ft. It is one of the easiest treks among all the Himalayan treks. This place will make you fall in love with its immense beauty. While trekking you will pass through lakes, lush green landscapes, and the beautiful view of mountains.
The most attractive part of this trek is the snow, this place turns into a fairyland because of snowfall. The best time to visit this place is in May and June. you will witness the most beautiful valleys of Spiti and Lahual. You can then come and rest at the campsite in Chandratal, there you can visit the famous ChandraTal lake.
The Hampta Pass trek can be covered in 4 days you just have to be careful and carry essential safety gear like hiking shoes, a trekking pole, and gloves this will make your trek easy and a safe one.
Before going on a trekking make sure you are carrying all the necessary precautions. Make sure you don’t get carried away with the unreal Bollywood stuff which was shown in the movie where Deepika (Naina) was trekking in a skirt and others were in hot pants. Trekking is not a simple task in temperatures ranging from minus. Make sure you wear proper warm clothes and carry all the equipment with you.
