Best Bollywood movies to watch with family- We are family (2010)
I would like to start with, Siddharth P Malhotra directed ‘We Are Family’ which stars Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal as lead.
This film is based on 1998’s film ‘Stepmom’. The story of the film will make you emotional and as it is all about a family, so, you and your family will definitely enjoy it together.
The story revolves around married couple Aman and Maya. They live with their three children, but due to some unfortunate circumstances, they separated.
Where Maya lives with her three children and Aman lives with her girlfriend Shreya.
But, Maya diagnosed with cancer. And Aman returns to his family to fulfill his responsibility and realized the importance of family.
I really love this movie for its emotional part and how it showcased the strong unity of a family.
Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006)
‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ is a family comedy drama genre movie. Therefore I added the movie in this list.
In the direction of Dibakar Banerjee, the film has Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Parvin Dabas, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and Tara Sharma.
Talking about the movie, in which main character Kamal Khosla has a land which is grabbed by a fraud person named Khurana. But the actual comedy starts when Mr. Khosla’s family become determined to save their land in anyway.
They do a trick in the bid of the land and at last after so many comic and hard situations, they finally got their land.
Maybe, you didn’t hear about this film before, but I’m sure that you definitely listen to its famous song Chal De Phattey’ at least once in your life.
Chup Chup Ke (2006)
‘Chup Chup Ke’ is my favorite movie as a family movie. And many of us might watch this movie multiple times.
This comedy film is directed by very talented director Priyadarshan. Chup Chup ke got great response from the audience after its release.
Chup Chup ke is a comedy drama with so many twist part.
Story is as, A fisherman saves a young guy, Jeetu (who was about to commit suicide) to sell him to his moneylender. And when Jeetu stays in the moneylender’s house, he acted as a blind and speechless person despite not being in that condition.
From this, the ultimate fun takes place and I can bet you, that this film will definitely make you laugh.
Badhai Ho (2018)
It is a movie which is not recommended for all families. To watch this movie, your family should be a little open-minded. And if you are wondering why it is so? You have to read the story.
So let’s talk about the movie, The film is about a 25 years old guy who finds out that his mother is pregnant. By this, he is totally shocked because at which time, he should get married and be a father of a kid, his mother is expecting a baby.
Amit Sharma directed ‘Badhai Ho’ is a unique concept. And its cast make it more appreciable with their superb acting skills.
It start cast includes, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, and Surekha Sikri.
After going through so many sweet and sour moments, the family take a hardcore decision about whether to take the baby or not.
Deciding this was very difficult for them because of considering societal pressure, thoughts.
I will not tell you the ending as it will ruin your excitement to watch the movie. But I can assure you, this will not waste your time rather it will give a hit to think over again on this matter.
Now you probably got the idea that why I warn about this movie.
But now you will think that if its not a family kind movie then why I added this is in my list? And my answer is simple, its because to show the family love and how family supports you in your each and very difficult situation.
Taare Zameen Par (2007)
The next in the list is ‘Taare Zameen Par’.
The concept of the film and tremendous acting of Darsheel Safary and Amir Khan is the biggest reason to watch this film.
Taare Zameen Par’ is a sweet story of an 8-year-old boy Ishaan, who has dyslexia.
Ishaan’s parents never understand or his disease. And only thinks that he has lack of interest in studies. For this reason, they send him to a boarding school.
Fortunately, an art teacher of the school, Ram finds out his problem and helps him to recover and get back his self-confidence.
The journey of Ishaan’s recovery is so emotional and wonderful. But It wasn’t easy for Ram and Ishaan to make it possible together, but they did it.
This film is a kind of an eye-opener for all the parents who need to understand and listen to their child’s feelings.
Movies watch with family- Hindi Medium (2017)
Saket Chaudhary directed, this film is another masterpiece that you can watch with your family. This film can be mentioned as a comedy drama with a deep precious inner meaning with it.
During watching this film, you will laugh so hard, but at the same time you’ll realize something very precious from the movie.
The story is about a couple Raj and Mita. They are desperate to get their daughter Pia to get admission in a reputed school.
But their well financial background and their poor English is the major complications in this. Despite this, they are very determined to get admitted Pia in that school and they did everything possible to ensure her admission in the well reputed school.
This film showcases that, how much parents can do anything possible for their child for giving the best lifestyle to their kids.
Hichki (2018)
‘Hichki’ is directed by Siddharth Malhotra. It’s about a woman named Naina with Tourette Syndrome. The character of Naina is played excellently by Rani Mukerji.
Tourette Syndrome is a disorder which make the patient do repetitive involuntary movements called tics. And because of this disorder, Naina faces many challenges in her ‘Teaching’ career because everyone makes fun of her, even her students.
But despite all these, Naina turns this weakness into her strength. In this journey, she also breaks down many times. But she builds her self-confidence and deal with all the difficulties she come across into her journey.
Bollywood movie to watch with family- Nil Battey Sannata (2016)
‘Nil Battey Sannata’ is a legendary work of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. The film stars many brilliant actors like; Swara Bhaskar, Ria Shukla, Ratna Pathak, Pankaj Tripathi, and Sanjay Suri.
It is a story of a mother-daughter duo Apeksha and Chanda respectively. Apeksha hates to study and after so many trials, at last, her mother find out a unique way to build her interest in her studies.
At last, the method of Chanda succeed, and Apeksha became a better learner for the rest of her life.
