bhool bhulaiyaa 2 story

Movie opens with a occultist doing some magic in order to imprison the powerful spirit Manjulika in a chamber. The residents of the haveli left the mansion after the ritual in which Anjulika (Tabu) attacked by the ghost.

18 years later, Anjulika’s niece Reet meets Ruhan, the son of a Delhi based Business tycoon. Ruhan is jobless yet free spirited guy.

Reet is from a wealthy family who goes against her family’s wishes to study medicine.

Ruhan and Reet meet at a tourist place and became good friends.

He then, arrives at Reet’s ancestral haveli in town in secret with her. Because Reet is legally “dead in the eyes of her family.

Later, the door where the spirit locked accidentally opened.

So what will be the consequences is what you’ll gonna find exciting in the film.

Acting

The screenplay was superb , the dialogues were well-written. Performance-wise Kartik has done a great job. And in some scenes he also trying hard to act like Akshay.

Tabu also shines in the film. She utilised her talent excellently with her versatile acting.

Kiara Advani was also good but she could be little better at haunting scenes.

The supporting characters lend their flavour of comedy in the film very well.

Aakash Kaushik wrote the story of the film and is produced by Bhushan Kumar under T-series.

Unlike the previous psychological thriller, director Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a horror-comedy. After a succession of box office flops, this filmmaker deliver a film that appeals to the entire family.

The movie is good for young generation and would be a great family entertainer. There is mixture of comedy and horror in it. But also has some flaws.

Frankly speaking, the comedy section dominated the horror factor.

And the horror part of the movie could be better. Moreover, punch lines are also not that strong. Apart from that, film length seems very long which made it little boring.

Is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 worth watching?

As this film is the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiya 2007 the name remained the same. And like the previous movie, this also have some twists, turns, mystery, and creates “Bhool Bhulaiya” in the minds of the audience.

While the sequel and the first part have little in common (besides Manjulika), the background score and the song Ami Je Tomar takes you back to the 2007 film. Nonetheless, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is completely a new story that stands on its own. With Comedy-horror mix genres you’ll find it a masala entertainer.

Though it has flaws, but the film is humour-filled and has too much “masala” in it. So can be watch for one time. But its not that worth to watch on theatres.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa rating- 2.5/5
