Keshav’s house is situated and he is living care free life. But after his marriage to her love interest ,Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar), his life changed. Because Jaya becomes uncomfortable with no toilet in the house.
And after so many trials and efforts, at last, Jaya decides to leave the house of Keshav and give him a divorce. But Keshav’s deep love for Jaya helps him to fight against society and take the initiative of building toilets in houses.
If you don’t know, the characters of Jaya and Keshav are based on the real personalities named Anita Narre and Shivram .
Another Akshay Kumar movie Padman is an biographical drama.
The real purpose of the film was to show the struggle of Arunachalam Muruganantham.
Arunachalam Muruganantham (played by Akshay Kumar) is a social activist who made a low-cost sanitary napkin machine. He determines to make this machine, so that each and every female can afford pads.
He took this initiative when his wife (Shanthi Muruganantham, played by Radhika Apte) suffers from several problems and pains due to periods.
