Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is firing at box office. And audience is loving Tabu as Manjulika. But still 2007 Manjulika is unforgettable. This is just because of Vidya’s amazing performance . But do you know in an interview, Vidya Balan told that she did not get any award for Bhool Bhulaiya.
Bhool bhulaiyaa 2 vs bhool bhulaiyaa. Which one is better according to audience?
Surprised? Ya me too was, when I get to know about this. Because If you have watched the first part, you will realize how obvious it is to get Vidya an Award.
But sadly, Vidya Balan didn’t won any awards for her performance in Bhool Bhulaiya.
But fortunately, there are some platforms where only the deserving ones get the appreciation for their hard work like IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards), and CCFA (Critics Choice Film Awards).

Did Vidya Balan get Bhool Bhulaiya award ?
At that event, Vidya shared her positive thoughts over CCFA to the media and also mentioned about her disappointment in not winning any awards for her performance in ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’ in 2007.
She added that everyone appreciated her excellent performance as ‘Manjulika’. In spite of that, she didn’t get any award. She believes that it is life, and disappointment is always there with you. It is just the same as you studied so hard but you didn’t score that much, because you are not the ‘favorite student’ of your teacher.
What is CCFA ?
CCFA is a new initiative inaugurated in India in 2019. This award ceremony celebrates the deserving talents and films in 8 regional languages including Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, and Kannada.
The first edition of this award ceremony was held on 21 April 2019 in Mumbai, where Zoya Akhtar and Vidya Balan announced the nominees; and Neha Dhupia hosted the event.
Final Thoughts
We have witnessed many cases like Vidya Balan where the deserving artists didn’t get proper appreciation in the award ceremonies. In fact, everyone knows the dark secrets of these so-called ‘Bollywood Award functions’!
There are some celebrities who spoke out about the truth of these awards openly without any hesitation. And some don’t take any bit of headache about these awards such as Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, and many more.
They purely believe in audiences’ support, not in the ‘pre-planned awards’. Among all of the award ceremonies, ‘Filmfare Awards’ proved itself ‘political’ several times.
Yes, it hurts! We all have faced this at some point in our lives, where we give our 100% but don’t get appropriate results just because of some biases.
Have you ever faced this kind of bias situation in your life!? Do share with us in the comments. And what do you think about Vidya’s performance in Bhool Bhualiya.
